The department of Amazonas has one varied natural and cultural wealth that combines ecosystems of mountain range and forest with impressive archaeological centers, was seat of the Chachapoyas culture, the one that leaves the valuable legacies us after succumbing to the Inca Empire in 1475.

One of the important cities of the department of AMAZONAS is Chachapoyas. It is the present capital and base for different tours from the archaeological rest of great importance between which it emphasizes the Fortress of Kuélap. Their stony constructions, temples, fortresses, platforms, tombs, ceramics and cities give us testimony of the great advance reached about this civilization. This fortress represents the maximum legacy of the zone (also it is compared with Machu Picchu) which is complemented splendidly with attractions like: The Archaeological Rest of Levanto ; Yalape; Leimebamba Local Museum among others, as well as natural places like the Lagoon of the Condores, the Valley of the Dinosaurios or simply the zones where these legacies are.

DAY 1: CHACHAPOYAS.
Transfer to the hotel.
City Tour.

DAY 2: REVASH – LEYMEBAMBA.
Breakfast in the hotel.
Excursion to the funeral buildings of Revash; Leymebamba. Return to the hotel.

DAY 3: KUELAP
Breakfast in the hotel. Excursion to Kuélap, located at the 3.000 m.s.n.m in the top of a high rocky mountain. On the hill, the waters of the Utcubamba River run by a deep and narrow tempered climate valley. The perfect organization of the Chachapoyas could raise that imposing mass of 10,000 tons of carved stone. Constructed on the end of a hill, whose slopes are very steep and inaccessible, more than 500 meters of height.

DAY 4: CHACHAPOYAS ….
