The city of Cajamarca was born 3,000 years ago, reaching its biggest development between the 500 and 1,000 years of our times, it was a popular center of the CAXAMARCA culture. In 1450 the Incas conquered Caxamarca during the government of the Inca Pachacutec by his brother Yupanqui so they had contact between Caxamarca and the Tahuantinsuyo. In 1,532 Francisco Pizarro had taken Atahualpa as a prisoner in Cajamarca, this was the origin of the mixture of cultures in Peru. The city of Cajamarca is the capital of the Department. Actually, Cajamarca is considered Cultural and Historical Patrimony of America by the O.E.A. in November 1986.

Day 1: CAJAMARCA
Transfer to the airport.
Transfer to the hotel. Mate de Coca tea for free.
PM, City Tour around Cajamarca

Day 2: CUMBEMAYO / OTUZCO
Breakfast in the hotel
Excursion archaeological center of Cumbemayo. Return to the hotel.
PM Tour to Las Ventanillas de Otuzco archeological center.

Day 3: CAJAMARCA / LIMA
Continental breakfast in the hotel.
Transfer to the airport to take the flight to Lima.
You will have a half day to go to the Inca Thermal Baths or to do personal activities. Tranfer to the bus station to come back to Lima. (this travel will be the whole night).
