Huancayo is the capital of the department of Junin and is located
in the central part of the Peruvian Andes within the beautiful
Mantaro Valley at 3,249 meters of altitude. It was founded in
1572, and it is an important commercial and farming city of the
country. Its climate is cold and dry with variations between the
day and night, and rainy between November and April. Jauja is
located 48 kms. north of Huancayo.
It was the first Capital of Perú founded by Francisco Pizarro in
1534 before the creation of Lima. It is very famous because
of its good climate. In the zone, there are works of pottery,
weaves, embroiderings and chipped pumpkins.

Day 1: HUANCAYO
Am.
Departure for Huancayo crossing Ticlio.
Reception and transfer to the hotel.
Day 2: PACA LAGOON
Continental breakfast at the hotel and begin the city tour
visit to the city of Jauja where we will visit the Lagoon of Paca.
Lunch.
Return to Huancayo.
Day 3: OCOPA CONVENT / BACK TO LIMA
Breakfast at the hotel. Tour to Santa Rosa de Ocopa Convent
and the Natural History Museum.
Visit to the Ingenio trout hatchery located. Lunch.
At 23:00 hrs. Departure by bus to return to Lima.
